Are you planning your civil wedding ceremony and looking for the perfect music to accompany this most crucial part of your day? Look no further a wedding expert is here to help.

There are different sections to your ceremony i) waiting ii) cue song and processional iii) registry signing iv) recessional. The waiting music mostly reflects the bridegroom’s choice (or the person waiting for the other to enter!). The cue song lets both participants know that the next track is the “walking down the aisle” music. The processional is a very important music choice and I’m more than happy to advise you but ultimately it should be your personal  choice.

The registry signing is a musical interlude for your guests whilst you get on with the official paperwork. It can be as little as a single track but I’d advise you choose four just to be on the safe side. I particularly like Signed, Sealed, Delivered or Marry You but it’s good to relieve a little tension.

The processional is often over very quickly so it’s good to pick a song that doesn’t have a long intro (or ask your DJ to edit one) and it can range from fun to classy, modern to classical – have a look at the list for some ideas.

If you are at all worried about the process, I’ve often visited venues with the whole entourage fo a quick practice so we can get the timings exactly right for the wedding party.

As an experienced award-winning wedding DJ, host and Master of Ceremonies serving Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshite and beyond, I have compiled a list of classical and contemporary wedding music suggestions to make your ceremony unforgettable.
